There are many of these theories, but not many of them really hold water. If you have a look at the different types of strategies out there, most of them are based on loads of wishful thinking and flawed theories.
The problem with most of these theories is that there is enough logic to them to convince many people. However the problem is that the flaws aren't realized before it is too late.
One such example is probably the most well known of all of these theories, namely the Martingale theory.
At first glance this looks like the best possible strategy you can use. It is however 100% logical and should work. Only problem is that there are flaws that will make you trip up.
The idea is to double your bet after each losing bet. If you double the bet every time you and you hit a winner, your overall profit would be the size of your initial bet. You also only bet on a single color, either red or black.
What you do is you first place a $1 bet, if you lose, you place a $2 bet, if you lose again, you place a $4 bet. Then if you win, you would win $8 in return for placing $7 of bets in total.
So in essence this sounds like a good idea. There are a couple of problems however. There are a couple of things that can happen. The first and biggest problem is if you don't have a big enough bankroll.
If you go on a losing run and you can't cover it you are basically screwed. If you can you might get your hands on some money. It would however be at a very slow rate.
The other problem I have with it personally is that it is extremely boring. I struggle staying awake when playing in this way. Whether you want to use this system or not is however totally up to you.
